2022
In an outdoor evangelistic service in a rural neighborhood, an 18 year-old young man came to the altar and soon was weeping in contrition before God. We found out after the service that he had been involved in dark witchcraft to the point of hearing voices which gave him plans of how to kill certain people, even relatives. In the picture, you see his younger brother hugging him while the pastor’s wife prayed for them both. Although he communicated to us of his struggle with past memories, we encouraged him with the greater present reality of the new creation in Christ. Praise God for the Blood of Jesus that cleanses us from all sin!
2021
On our first Sunday in Panama, we went to a work near Panama City, a little area called Veracruz. Pastor Remidio and his precious congregation were very welcoming and the Lord did a great work in hearts during both morning and evening services. We had been made aware of a 10pm curfew as part of their Covid protocol, but didn’t know to what extent the authorities were enforcing it. The Pastor had asked if we could go and pray for a very sick lady just a few houses down the street from the church before we left. Joanna & Daxton had already gone to the vehicle and I knew I didn’t have the time for a lengthy prayer. This lady had not been able to walk on her own for some time; she was very weak and frail. I reminded her of Mark 16 and spoke healing over her in Jesus’ Name and left. We went out to the jungle over the next several days, so it wasn’t until the following Thursday when we came into signal that I received the pastor’s text, “The lady you prayed for began to walk independently the next day and was recovering.” To God be the Glory!!
One night during a three-day meeting in Maje (an indigenous village), I preached about how the blood of Jesus speaks better things. In response to the altar call, two teenage boys who had appeared to be in the world’s grip came to the altar and prayed. After service was dismissed, one of them was noticeably moved as he embraced and thanked me for the message. Both were baptized, and fell to their knees on the lakeshore, with hands lifted in gratitude and worship. The presence of the Holy Ghost was so strong! What a glorious Gospel that rescued two more souls in their youth!
2020
One evening, we went to minister at one of our churches, Bethel, about an hour & half from the Mission house. Derek preached powerfully and quite a few young people responded in the altar service. As I, Joanna, began praying for the young ladies, one noticeably tried to move away from my hand as a laid it on her. I sensed there was something more than just her unwillingness to be prayed for. I motioned for Derek to come over and agree with me for her. It became very evident that she had an evil spirit. We began to command it to come out and for her to be free in Jesus’ name. She received complete deliverance that night and hugged her mother for a lengthy time afterward. No doubt reconciliation was made relationally as well. Praise God; we have the power in the name of Jesus!!
2017
Joanna and I had opportunity to minister in River of Life’s Youth Camp. On Wednesday night, I had preached with an interpreter and given the altar call. While many youth were seeking God, we noticed a young lady begin to move around on the floor like an animal. A group of ministers then began to cast the evil spirit(s) out of her. After a few minutes of struggling with her, her contorted face and body changed to a peaceful expression and rest. Interestingly, she had looked 5-10 years older while under the influence of the evil spirit(s). After her deliverance, we learned that she was only 14. What joy to hear her testify to the entire camp: “He set me free!” She then burst into tears and thanksgiving!
